Recycled Concrete Aggregate

Recycled concrete aggregate, also known as RCA, is an extremely popular replacement for natural stone aggregates. RCA is made up of old concrete from sidewalks, pavements, curbing and building slabs by processing the material through a crusher.

In comparison to other fills, RCA is more economical and performs equally as well. Uses include sub-base, road base, and general fill. Compaction test and particle size reports are available on request.

Recycling concrete provides sustainability in several different ways. The simple act of recycling the concrete reduces the amount of material that must be landfilled. The concrete itself becomes aggregate. As space for landfills becomes premium, this not only helps reduce the need for landfills but also reduces the economic impact of the project. Asphalt Grindings / Millings

Asphalt grindings/millings can be used in a variety of different ways – both where you would traditionally use either stone, gravel or hot asphalt. If you are looking for an environmentally friendly and cost-effective material for your paving projects, asphalt grindings/millings may be just what you’ve been looking for!

Asphalt that has been recycled still has some tar in it. This, unlike other loose-fill roadway materials, recycled asphalt aggregate will bond together when compacted, allowing for a semi-permanent roadway that remains in place and is tremendously easy to maintain. Overall, recycled asphalt is a great option for the person who is concerned with easy and inexpensive upkeep.

Asphalt grindings/millings require no refinishing, resurfacing, or replacing. It also hardens over time, strengthening as it goes instead of weakening. Recycled asphalt pavement gravel is also less susceptible to the elements. Recycled asphalt is tremendously easy to maintain. Overall, recycled asphalt is a great option for the person who is concerned with easy and cheap upkeep.

Asphalt is not a biodegradable material, and any waste that is thrown into landfills will remain there, taking up space forever. In addition, non-renewable resources must be used to generate new asphalt. It’s much more environmentally responsible to choose a material that minimizes waste by re-purposing old asphalt.
